We are very passionate about our farm and about producing most of what we consume daily. Encouragement from family and friends has led us to consider providing fresh, farm-raised food for those who may not have the opportunity to do that for themselves.
At Woods Fork Farmstead, we endeavor to be a testament to sustainable agriculture, where the rhythm of nature guides every practice. Here, a small flock of sheep and a lively brood of chickens work in harmony with the land through rotational grazing, moving across pastures to naturally fertilize and aerate the soil while feasting on fresh, native forage. This continuous movement prevents overgrazing and promotes healthier grasslands, mirroring nature's own cycles. In our garden, we practice no-till gardening, preserving the intricate soil structure and its vital microbial life by disturbing it as little as possible. This method, along with composting and cover cropping, ensures the soil remains rich and fertile, yielding an abundance of healthy produce season after season.
